All golf competitions, at their core, magnify the significance of every shot in a way that a casual round simply cannot. The thrill of competition every player feels is immense. Golfers relish the first-tee jitters and five-foot putts, despite how demanding they can be.

In Andalucia, there are just a handful of golfing events that combine personality and tradition; that are inextricably linked in the minds of fans to a historic venue; that offer, year after year, a "who's who" of the best in the sport. The Estrella Damm Andalucia Masters 2022 in the Real Club Valderrama in Sotogrande is one of them.

Real Club Valderrama and the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucá Masters

The Real Club Valderrama always acts as a fair and demanding judge, an essential sieve to highlight the best, and you only have to take a quick glance at the list of winners to find a collection of major champions and sense the challenge this event represents.

2021 - Matt Fitzpatrick (UK)

2020 - John Catlin (USA)

2019 - Christian Bezuidenhout (South Africa)

2017 - Sergio Garcia (Spain)

Real Club Valderrama is accustomed to hosting the best events on the international schedule. The course was originally known as Las Aves (The Birds) and Robert Trent Jones first laid it out in 1975. The course’s layout remained relatively anonymous until ten years later when in 1985 Jamie Ortiz-Patino, the industrialist billionaire bought the golf course. He then spent an absolute fortune on it to subtly reshape Valderrama. The club has not looked back since; it is now one of the best-looking golf courses in the world and it offers its unique character to the spectators who opt for enjoying it live.

The tickets for the Estrella Damm Andalucia Masters 2022 are now on sale. You can choose between individual access for each day, four-day passes, or weekend passes with the flexibility of the ticket offer. Federated members receive preferential rates, and children under 13 are admitted free of charge. Tickets for the 2022 edition are available through the tournament website.
